Nanov Display Inc. recently announced that MetroLinx tender has been awarded to T.G. Baker Americas, Inc. to be the supplier of Nanov's 47-inch LCD monitors for the outdoors. Nanov's NGLT470WP-H, is an innovative, 47-inch 2000cd model, IP65 rated fully sealed transit monitor meant for the outdoors, developed by Nanov Display Inc., and distributed by Tech Data Canada. T.G. Baker Americas Inc. specializes in Passenger Terminal Information systems, and is an authorized reseller of the Nanov Display Inc.
Nanov’s digital transit displays are designed and engineered to adapt to the specific challenges posed by the outdoors. Nanov Display, Inc. has combined the expertise of passenger terminal information system engineers, LCD panel manufacturers, outdoor signage enclosure manufacturers, and IT hardware system developers in South Korea to create fully sealed, IP65-rated weatherproof, and watertight displays. Nanov monitors are specially designed for the Canadian environment and work under extreme weather conditions – weathering temperatures that range from -20⁰ C to 40⁰C – and are even housed in an aluminum alloy case, machined from a thick, solid block, to transfer heat effectively. In addition, Nanov monitors have a new heat pipe system using auto thermos-electric control modules to make constant internal monitor temperature control possible. The units are equipped with remote health monitoring modules which control the power switch, as well as brightness levels, and components diagnosis via Ethernet. Furthermore, units are capable of displaying high definition with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and various inputs: DVI-D, HDMI, VGA, and Ethernet.
