Element Materials Technology continues to support the transportation industry by investing in new cleaning technology at its Wixom, Michigan laboratory.

The new cleanliness process subjects the samples to a spray in multiple directions, creating a customized cleaning process for components. This advanced cleaning methodology ensures particulate is removed from the sample and is analysed by a fully-automated microscope that can categorize particles by both size and type (metallic and non-metallic). Element Wixom has the ability to test components with particle count requirements to standards such as ISO 16232 and VDA 19.

John Nelson, Element’s executive vice president, transportation and industrials, commented, "’This investment is being directly driven by the needs of our clients in the industry. By investing in new technology and by continuously updating our testing standards to meet the demands of our clients, we continue to cement our reputation as the best and most trusted testing partner to the Transportation sector.’’
