The market for intelligent transportation systems is projected to reach $143 billion by 2020. Intelligent transportation systems are being implemented in cities around the world.
Robotics, autonomous and connected vehicles, artificial intelligence, data and privacy, cybersecurity, wireless communications and operations in the cloud are inspiring new technology.
The ITS World Congress 2017 is where everything related to intelligent transportation comes together to ensure a dynamic user experience based on business models focusing on reliability, safety, equal access and a dynamic user experience.
A highlight of the event will be the Smart Cities Pavilion. It will feature Smart Cities from around the world including Columbus, Ohio, the host city Montreal, Singapore, and Christchurch, New Zealand. The pavilion will focus on how policy can advance the future of integrated mobility, how and why transportation is moving to the center of the Internet of Things, and how technological solutions are the IoT are changing cities for the betterment of everyone.
ITS World Congress 2017 will offer cutting-edge keynotes and educational programming presented by intelligent transportation experts from all over the world in six content areas.
The city of Montréal will create a virtual testbed on the streets with live demonstrations of ITS technologies. This test bed will include an arterial loop circling the Palais and a section of a nearby limited access highway that will be equipped with DSRC roadside units integrated with local signal controllers to support demonstrations of Connected Vehicle technologies.
