Cubic to Discuss the Role of Regional Transit Partnerships at Live.Ride.Share. Conference in Miami
Cubic Transportation Systems has announced that Jannet Walker Ford, vice president and general manager of Eastern region, Americas, will participate in a panel discussion on shared-use mobility at Live.Ride.Share.Miami in Florida on August 25. The third annual summit brings together local and national transportation and mobility leaders to discuss the future of mobility in South Florida.
“An important part of this conversation is an overall regional view of transportation. This includes other transit partners in the region; commuter services such as regional van pools; parking; car sharing and how each can be integrated into the local transportation infrastructure more effectively,” said Walker Ford. “The Department of Transportation and Public Works in Miami-Dade County is taking a very proactive approach by expanding its partnership with public and private sectors to address these ‘first mile/last mile’ options for commuters.”
In August 2016, Cubic was awarded a contract to modernize Miami-Dade County’s EASY Card revenue management system and provide ten years of back office cloud computing and support services.
Walker Ford will be participating in the following session within the “Shared-Use Mobility” track:
- “Addressing Our Mobility Needs”: Friday, August 25; 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. (local time); the Conrad Hotel, Miami, Florida.
Moderator: Art Noriega, Miami Parking Authority.
Panel partners: Jim Udvardy, South Florida Commuter Services; Barbara Molina, South Florida Vanpool Program; Michelle Gonzalez, Town of Miami Lakes.
