Passport Zooms Ahead to Hiring Vision with VP of Product and VP of Engineering
Passport announced the hiring of Meredith Cage and Duncan Mapes, the newest staff leaders. Cage is the company’s vice president of product and Mapes is the vice president of engineering.
These recruitment efforts are a part of Passport’s initiatives to hire at least 50 employees this year since raising the $43 million Series C investment from Bain Capital Ventures in December. At that time, the company began aggressively seeking the best talent to meet the needs of clients, expand its global reach, and accelerate product growth and innovation. Thus far, the company has added more than 20 team members.
Most recently, Cage served as the senior vice president of product strategy and analytics at PeraHealth. After earning her MBA from Harvard Business School, Meredith joined Johnson & Johnson where she led global product and marketing initiatives to commercialize innovative technology. Her earlier roles include a wide range of operational, consulting and financial positions at KPMG and BearingPoint.
“Meredith’s experience will help us further concentrate on our client-focused product development. Her tactical approach to business will allow Passport to meet our clients’ needs in both the short- and long-term,” said Bob Youakim, Passport CEO. “Meredith’s strong background in leading product teams in fast-growing organizations will help propel Passport in the years ahead. We’re laying the groundwork now for the possibilities to come.”
Duncan comes onboard from Bank of America, where he worked as the platforms and development operations senior technology manager. Duncan led the development and operationalization of a custom enterprise delivery platform. He also spearheaded the efforts that redefined the processes and automation for one of the top most trafficked websites in America.
“Duncan will be a great asset for our engineering team. He is skilled at recruiting, team building, communicating ideas and execution. He’ll work closely with Meredith to get our products out the door,” said Passport Chief Technology Officer, Brad Powers.
