The Vision Systems Group continues its international growth by setting up a new trade office in Canada. After the opening of a subsidiary in Melbourne, Florida in 2014, a technical commercial office in Singapore in 2015 and a sales office in Dubai in 2017, it is in Montreal that the system supplier has chosen to locate.
Vision Systems Canada will initially focus on the sale of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and next-generation driver doors, directly to North American operators and manufacturers, with the help of the American subsidiary for the United States area.
The design of these innovative products is customized for each customer; a local presence will allow a better understanding of the customer’s specific needs while providing technical support on the spot. Vision Systems already has several Canadian and Quebec networks among its customers as well as some manufacturers like Nova Bus (Volvo Group).
After the success of its ADAS solutions in Europe, recently illustrated by two World Premieres (on the IRIZAR ieTRAM18 at Busworld show and on the Voyageur Signature motor home at CMT show) and several serial orders, the group intends to continue its momentum in North America, where tests on vehicles are already underway.
With its mirrorless HD camera solution Smart-Vision, Vision Systems is driving a technological revolution in its historic market segments: trucks, buses, coaches and motor homes. Furthermore, its collision risk detection system for urban vehicles Savety-Front, received a very promising welcome in its first presentations.
"We believe that a physical presence in Montreal will allow Vision Systems to have greater responsiveness and appreciation of business relationships locally. This new subsidiary will be very complementary to the one we have in Florida and will consolidate our presence in North America and our representation abroad," said Catherine Robin, executive vice president and head of subsidiaries.
