RTA Repairs Signal System at Select Locations on Blue and Green Lines

Beginning Monday, August 20, the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority began signal system repairs on the Blue and Green Lines. Customers may notice a slight delay.
On Monday, August 20, the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority began signal system repairs on the Blue and Green Lines. Customers may notice a slight delay as trains depart from various light rail stations. RTA expects trains to run on time and according to the published schedule.
The signal system project is expected to take approximately three to four months and will span the areas between E. 79 and Courtland on the Green Line and E. 79 and Lynnfield on the Blue Line.
This is part of 2018's $47 million rail infrastructure repair effort to maintain RTA’s rail system. Earlier this month, RTA completed a Red Line rail project between West 117 and West Park during a three-week shut down that replaced 7,300 rail ties and improved the track structure, drainage and geometry.
RTA returned the Red Line to full service August 12 and that section of the Red Line is operating at normal speeds.
