IndyGo will begin working on Red Line enhancements on the stations along College Avenue, between 54th St. and Kessler Boulevard, July 17. The work will include bus pad reinforcement and concrete pouring that will continue through early August.
Vehicular traffic will be detoured around the station closures using Kessler Boulevard and Meridian and 46th streets. Local access will be maintained in the segment despite the road closure.
For riders, the 54th St. and Kessler Boulevard Red Line stations on College Avenue will be closed. North and southbound service will be available at temporary and local stops near the intersections at 54th St. and College Avenue and Kessler Boulevard and College Avenue.
IndyGo is making the significant improvements to the Red Line to provide additional long-term stability and protect the significant investment made in the system’s infrastructure. Work is expected to be complete by August 2023.
