OH: SARTA Launches MedLine Transportation Services for People with Medicaid Waivers

To continue to meet the needs of the people of Stark County, SARTA has recently launched its new MedLine Transportation Services.
This new service will allow free transportation for individuals with I/O or Level One Medicaid Waivers, which is obtained through the DD Board of Stark County. Transportation can be to employment, adult day support, and vocational training anywhere in Stark County.
SARTA is the first transportation agency in the state to become a Medicaid transportation provider and provide this type of transportation service for individuals with disabilities.
To ensure the safety of all of our clients, all of SARTA’s MedLine drivers have received specialized CPR and First Aid trainings and have passed a rigorous BCI background checks. In addition, SARTA has purchased new, smaller MV1 vehicles which feature seating for 3 passengers and front seating for those in a mobility device. All MV1 vehicles come equipped with extra-large doors and are accessible with a mobility device ramp for easy loading of clients.
