Mountain Metropolitan Transit Implements Service Changes
Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) implemented final fall services changes on Sept. 13. Below is a summary of the service changes and more information can be found at its website:
Adding Weekday-Evening and Saturday Service to Route 22
Mountain Metropolitan Transit will add both weekday-evening and Saturday service to Route 22 which serves the Southborough area between Galley Road and Hancock Expressway.
Adding Weekday-Evening and Saturday Service to Route 23
MMT will add both weekday-evening and Saturday service to Route 23 which covers the eastern portion of the City between Galley Road and Stetson Hills Boulevard focusing on the Tutt Boulevard commercial corridor.
Increasing Saturday Frequency on Routes 5 and 25
On Saturdays, Route 5, which runs between the downtown bus terminal at 127 E. Kiowa Street and the Citadel Mall transfer center will run every 30 minutes instead of every hour. Route 25 from the Citadel to the Voyager Parkway transfer center will also run every 30 minutes instead of every hour.
Renaming Routes 9A and 9B
Mountain Metro Transit will identify the portion of 9A north of UCCS as Route 39 and the portion between the downtown bus terminal at 127 E. Kiowa Street and UCCS as Route 9.
Replacing the ADA Paratransit Half-Price Card with Digital Version
In an effort to cut down on the potential for fraud, Mountain Metropolitan Transit will replace all disabled reduced fare authorization cards with a new digital photo ID card at no charge to the rider. Cards can be obtained at the Independence Center located at 729 S. Tejon Street.
