Metro Honors Top Officers During National Police Week

The week of May 10-16, Metro's law enforcement professionals are getting high praise for their exemplary service to the community during National Police Week. 

Metro Vice Chairman Allen Watson and Board members Diann Lewter and Jim Robinson joined President & CEO Tom Lambert, along with Police Chief Vera Bumpers to honor law enforcement officers at a luncheon May 13.

"We are very proud of our officers who are committed to safety and who keep our patrons safe on a daily basis.  We want to thank all of our officers for their overall outstanding service to the community," said Lambert.

Chief Bumpers awarded Officer Mack Sullivan "Officer of the Year," Rhoderic Fernandez "Supervisor of the Year," and Darrin Lewis "Manager of the Year."  Metro's entire Criminal Investigations Division received an award for their collective outstanding performance.
