RTD Encourages Participation in Colorado’s Bike to Work Day

June 24, 2015

The Regional Transportation District (RTD) encourages the public to commit to changing the way they commute for a day and participate in the 2015 Colorado Bike to Work Day on June 24.

Bike to Work Day represents a grassroots effort by cities, counties, and community organizations across the state to educate commuters about the benefits of using two wheels to get to work. Biking to work and other daily destinations provides not only physical health benefits and stress relief, but the activity also benefits the environment by reducing vehicle pollution.

RTD will be supporting this effort with three Bike to Work Day stations which will provide bicyclists with information on biking and riding RTD buses and light rail. Booths will be staffed by RTD employees and will have a variety of giveaways, refreshments and breakfast options.
