Beginning Feb. 15, the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX) will invite qualified non-profit organizations in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties to register for a spot on the agency’s coveted Public Service Bus.

As a tribute to the 15th year, 14 winners will be chosen in a random drawing to have their logo displayed for one year. Plus, one lucky organization will be selected for the bus rear panel. The Public Service Bus travels routes every day throughout the three-county area.

To be eligible, the non-profit organization must be based in Orange, Osceola or Seminole County; operate on a budget of less than $1 million and show proof of 501(c)(3) status or be a governmental agency.

Organizations wishing to be considered for the rear panel will need to tell their agency’s story in 500 words or less – explain what the particular organization does, what inspires them and how they help the Central Florida community. The winning organization will have its story brought to life with a short promotional video produced by LYNX.

Qualified agencies are required to:

  • Fill out registration form online (www.golynx.com) with all fields completed.
  • Attach copy of 501(c)(3) status or government agency designation. (Example: IRS form.)
  • Attach copy of annual budget of less than $1 million. (Example: annual budget document.)
  • Attach electronic file of organization logo in Adobe Illustrator (.ai) format.
  • Optional: Submit 500 words or less to enter for the rear panel space.

The deadline to enter is 5 p.m. Mar. 31.  Incomplete entries will not be accepted. Winners will be notified after the random drawing during the week of April 4.

Agencies on the 2015-16 Public Service Bus are not eligible until next year.

The official unveiling of the 2016-17 Public Service Bus will be held 9 a.m. April 20 at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
