The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) is pleased to announce that its popular CBUS circulator service received a 2015 EXPY Award at the Experience Columbus Annual Meeting and 75th Anniversary celebration on March 8.

The CBUS is a free bus route that provides downtown visitors, employees and residents access to the Columbus experience by traveling through Downtown, the Arena District, Short North Arts District and Brewery District. By connecting hotels, meeting sites, shopping, dining, businesses, sports and cultural events, CBUS has enhanced the visitor experience for growing numbers of event attendees and leisure travelers.

“COTA is proud to receive an EXPY award in honor of the CBUS,” said W. Curtis Stitt, COTA president and CEO. “The CBUS is a great example of COTA aligning its service with one of the major goals of our community – a vibrant, thriving and accessible downtown.”

Each year, Experience Columbus recognizes outstanding contributions to the Greater Columbus visitor experience with the EXPY Awards. The winners demonstrate the best of Columbus and serve as role models for creativity and collaboration in the community. Fellow 2015 EXPY recipients include The Columbus Museum of Art – Margaret M. Walter Wing Addition, Columbus Crew SC – 2015 MLS Cup, Red, White & BOOM! – Celebrating 35 Years, and Columbus Blue Jackets – NHL All-Star Weekend Celebration, Including 60th All-Star Game.
