National Dump the Pump Day is on June 16 this year, and Cincinnati Metro is celebrating this unique date with #61616, a Ridership Event featuring free bus rides for registered participants, live entertainment and refreshments.
Participants who pledge to ride the bus, instead of taking their cars in celebration of the day, will have a chance to win fun prizes, including tickets to a Jimmy Buffet concert, Kings Island passes, a Taste of Belgium gift certificate and much more.
To take the #61616 pledge, simply visit Metro61616.com to learn about the many environmental and cost savings benefits and perks of riding the bus, and sign-up to get a text ticket for a free Metro Day Pass. Participants will also enjoy live music from The Cliftones, Elementree Livity Project, Buggs Tha Rocka and Jess Lamb who will be performing at bus stops throughout the day. The event is open to the community, including current Metro riders.
Metro is joining more than 100 transit systems around the country for the 11th annual Dump the Pump Day, which encourages people to ride public transportation to take them where they need to go, instead of driving a car.
