Xplore Dundee is Holding a Bus Surgery to Allow Riders to Find Out More About Their Service
The drop-in event is being held inside the Keiller Centre, close to the operator’s Travel Shop, between 11am and 3pm this Saturday (July 3rd). Managers and customer service staff will be on hand to advise people on the best routes and tickets to suit their needs. They will be able to discuss upcoming changes to the timetables and will record feedback and comments which may help to shape future network planning.
The Bus Surgery is held in partnership with Bus Users UK, a group which represents passengers across the country, championing their interests and helping to make bus services the best they can possibly be.
The Bus Surgery comes at the beginning of Catch the Bus Week (July 4th – 10th), during which Xplore Dundee will be highlighting the positives of public transport and encouraging more people to leave the car at home and use their services to get around the city. Customers are urged to follow the company on social media to receive updates on Catch the Bus Week and take part in competitions to win bus tickets and other goodies.
Managing Director Elsie Turbyne said, "It’s important for us to listen to what our customers have to say, so we regularly hold events such as the Bus Surgery, when we can speak to passengers and find out what they want from their bus services. Catch the Bus Week is a great reminder about the benefits of bus travel – not only is it a great value and efficient way to get around the city, but it’s also better for the environment. I would urge anyone who hasn’t been on a bus recently to leave the car at home, forget about traffic queues and parking charges and give us a try.”
