Omnitrans Mourns Loss of Maintenance Director Jack Dooley

The Omnitrans family mourns the loss of Director of Maintenance Jack Dooley. A 32-year employee, Dooley died October 9th from injuries sustained in a fall while in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Omnitrans family mourns the loss of Director of Maintenance Jack Dooley. A 32-year employee, Dooley died October 9th from injuries sustained in a fall while in Atlanta, Georgia. He was there attending the American Public Transportation Association Annual Meeting and Expo. 

Dooley was a resident of Highland, California. He would have turned 55 on October 14.

Dooley joined Omnitrans in 1985 as a Utility Service Worker in the Maintenance Department. He quickly advanced to Mechanic Helper that same year and then to Equipment Mechanic in 1986. In 1997 he was promoted to Maintenance Shift Supervisor and in 2001 became a Maintenance Manager. Dooley was named Director of Maintenance in 2007.

Scott Graham. “Jack’s rise from Utility Service Worker to Director speaks volumes for his dedication to and passion for his work. Over more than three decades, his accomplishments with the Maintenance team have kept Omnitrans at the forefront of the industry. His leadership and friendship will be missed.”
