The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) has announced that the organization has appointed Brian F. Peters as the chief financial officer and vice president of finance and technology. Peters will replace Henry Li who left the Authority in March. The appointment is effective May 17, 2016.
“We are excited that Brian is joining the JTA,” said JTA CEO Nathaniel P. Ford, Sr. “He brings with him more than 30 years of experience in a variety of key leadership roles in both the public and private sectors. He is a strategic thinker, change agent and will be a great addition to the JTA team.”
Peters comes to the JTA from Williams and Rowe where he serves as the chief financial officer. Drawing on his broad level of experience as a financial executive, he will lead JTA’s Finance and Technology Division, which includes budget, accounting, grant management and information technology. Peters will report to CEO Nathaniel P. Ford, Sr.
Prior to joining Williams and Rowe, Peters worked at the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) as the assistant secretary of finance and administration. He has also worked at Bombardier Capital, Whirlpool Corporation and Chase Manhattan Corporation. Peters received his MBA in Finance from Pace University and his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Providence College.
