CA: RTD Deputy CEO Celebrated for Breaking Through the Bamboo Ceiling

San Joaquin Regional Transit District’s Deputy CEO, Gloria Salazar, was honored as a woman who is “breaking through the bamboo ceiling” at the third annual women’s leadership event.
San Joaquin Regional Transit District’s Deputy CEO, Gloria Salazar, was honored as a woman who is “breaking through the bamboo ceiling” at the third annual women’s leadership event hosted by the Central Valley Asian-American Chamber of Commerce. Salazar, who oversees multiple departments at RTD, was selected by the CVACC Board and nominating committee because of her professional success and role as a leader in the community.
The event included dinner, a keynote address, entertainment, and a lively panel discussion featuring Salazar and four additional dynamic women leaders. Loreen Huey, the co-president of the Chinese Cultural Society of Stockton, moderated the panel.
The Central Valley Asian-American Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)(6) non-profit business organization. CVACC works closely with local businesses, entrepreneurs, non-profits, educational institutions, and governmental agencies. The chamber is committed to improving and expanding the overall leadership and economic development of the greater business community in the Central Valley.
