MATA promotes Bacarra Mauldin to deputy chief executive officer
The Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) has promoted Bacarra Mauldin to deputy chief executive officer.
“MATA continues its ongoing mission to provide safe, equitable, reliable and cost-effective public transit by connecting communities, improving mobility and stimulating economic development. We are confident that we can continue our goals thanks in part to the leadership and contributions we will continue to receive from Bacarra,” said MATA CEO Gary Rosenfeld. “Bacarra has been with MATA for over a year and has contributed greatly to her role as chief of staff. Among her many achievements, she has developed and cultivated key relationships that have helped lead to substantial growth as an agency.
Mauldin was formerly the chief of staff for MATA. In her new role, she will directly support the chief executive officer (CEO) in the overall direction, management and administration of all aspects of the organization’s operations, including its programs, service delivery and external affairs, as well as all aspects of the organization’s fiduciary, financial and operating performance in support of the strategic objectives and goals of the organization. Also, Mauldin will work closely with the CEO to create management practices that enable a high-performing and effective executive team.
