The Metrolink Board of Directors unanimously approved a multi-year collective bargaining agreement with the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 1277. The agreement is the second between the agency and represented employees covering wages, benefits and working conditions for 47 ATU Metrolink employees.
Staff members include rail traffic coordinators, rail traffic controllers, communications coordinators, senior customer relations representatives and customer relations representatives that comprise 16 percent of the agency’s 285-person workforce.
The three-and-a-half-year agreement includes a 15 percent salary increase over the term of the contract for the employees. The union membership ratified the agreement in an election on April 19.
“I’m glad that Metrolink and our represented team members reached this agreement,” said Metrolink CEO Darren Kettle. “This ensures a continued safe and customer-focused level of service for our riders.”
The contract runs through June 30, 2026.
