K&J Safety and Security Consulting Services, Inc., and OTB Solutions Group have formed a partnership that will allow K&J to deliver its risk registers to clients on OTB’s Safety and Security Information Management System (SSIMSTM) platform.
SSIMSTM provides automated processes supporting transit agencies’ needs around safety risk management and safety management systems. SSIMS’TM integrated and modular approach enables agencies to use a common set of data (risks, mitigations, requirements, etc.) across a variety of safety functions including risk management, audits, inspections, certification, and safety assurance. By sharing the same data sets, SSIMSTM eliminates the need for duplicate data entry and the overhead involved in managing multiple versions of MS Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, and Adobe PDFs.
“We have worked with OTB for a number of years now and we feel that [its] approach to SMS, [its] knowledge of public transit and [its] history of successful process optimization and automation make [its] SSIMSTM platform the ideal choice for delivering and managing our safety risk registers,” said President and Chief Engineer of K&J Safety Jim Tucci. “SSIMSTM enables K&J to deliver risk registers in a variety of structures, allowing them to be used in checklists, initial PHA/TVA lists, audit rules and more. This will allow our clients to grow into all of the capabilities of the SSIMSTM platform as their needs evolve. We think this is a fundamental game changer for the industry.”
