Maintenance Technician Jason Boudrow with National Express Transit has earned the prestigious Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Automobile Technician certification.

Master-certified technicians must complete a series of rigorous tests ranging from body systems and diesel engines to suspension and steering. ASE describes master status as being “the best of the best”— the gold standard for technicians across the U.S.

“Jason has the proven ability to stay current with the latest technology and training to ensure efficient and quality repairs,” said Jim Moore, vice president of maintenance for Durham. “We’re extremely proud of his leadership and dedication to excellence in his field.”

Boudrow is the second maintenance technician to earn the ASE Master Automobile Technician certification at NEXT’s facility in Boston. In 2016, less than 4,500 technicians were ASE certified, and only approximately 1,400 of those technicians earned master certification.

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence is a non-profit organization that works to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service by testing and certifying automotive professionals. ASE Certified Technicians work in every part of the automotive service industry.
