John Wong has been named a transportation facilities group lead in the Washington, D.C. office at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff.

John Wong has been named a transportation facilities group lead in the Washington, D.C. office at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff.

In his new position, Wong will lead project management and business development efforts related to the architectural and structural design of transportation facility projects. 

Wong has over 25 years of experience, including managing structural and civil engineering for transportation facilities. Prior to joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, he was a senior project engineer with a Maryland consulting firm, responsible for managing projects involving Federal Transit Authority emergency relief funds in New York City and Fort Lauderdale. He previously worked on rail and transportation facilities projects in New York, Philadelphia, Athens, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh.

Wong received a master of science degree in civil engineering from Polytechnic University (Brooklyn, New York) and a bachelor of architecture from the New York Institute of Technology. He is a registered professional engineer in New York and Washington, D.C. and a registered architect in New York.
