GRTC awards new contract to Connectpoint for multiple digital signage products
The Greater Richmond Transit Company (GRTC) has awarded Connectpoint a contract for multiple digital signage products, including Connectpoint® Digital Bus Stop displays that will be deployed throughout the transit system.
The first tranche of digital signage products to be installed will be the Connectpoint solar-powered 13-inch” Digital Bus Stop Displays, to be deployed at GRTC’s Downtown Transfer Station in downtown Richmond. The signage will also include Connecpoint’s Falcon, an ADA text-to-speech device. GRTC will deploy additional signage from Connectpont’s suite of products.
“The addition of Connectpoint’s digital signage to GRTC’s new Downtown Transfer Station is a crucial element in enhancing the customer experience,” added GRTC CEO Sheryl Adams. “We are happy the signage will not only increase the functionality of the Downtown Transfer Station, but will also provide GRTC customers with real time information that will help them reach their destinations.”
Rick Wood, president and CEO, Connectpoint, added, “We are excited about our first project at GRTC’s Downtown Transfer Station as the first phase of multiple deployments that will provide riders with 24/7 trip planning information as part of GRTC’s mission to improve mobility and access throughout central Virginia.”
