JTA and KPMG Receive Award for Information Technology

May 19, 2015

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) and KPMG received a Spotlight Award for Value and Excellence in Consulting in the Information Technology category from the Association of Management Consulting Firms (AMCF). KPMG and JTA were recognized for their partnership during AMCF’s Spotlight Awards Gala on May 14 in New York City.

KPMG and JTA were chosen for the successful implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning project, branded Firefly. The project focused on automating, streamlining and improving efficiency in finance, accounting, procurement, inventory, asset management, human resources and grants management.

The AMCF Spotlight Awards are given to projects that best demonstrate how consulting teams add value to their clients' organizations and society at large. The awards are an exciting way to promote a firm, team and project, while inspiring staff and clients to be better and strive for excellence. The winners were chosen by an independent panel of judges who assessed the quality of each submission and evaluated them against detailed selection criteria. This panel was comprised of distinguished leaders in business, journalism, academia, and government.

“Congratulations to our partner KPMG and the JTA Firefly team,” said JTA Chief Executive Officer Nathaniel P. Ford Sr. “Firefly brought information quality into the 21st century and changed the way we work for the better at the JTA.”
