DSE 2016 Seminar to Present 'Nuts and Bolts of Managing Content'

Nov. 10, 2015

Digital Signage Expo (DSE) announced Nov. 9, that its 24-part Digital Signage Seminar Program at DSE 2016 designed specifically for end users will include an hour-long session titled, “Nuts and Bolts of Managing Content: Tips and Tricks for Effective Digital Signs with Minimal Resources.”

Jared Padgett, manager of web development and digital media for Pepperdine University School of Law and Michael Juarez, Web/Media Developer at University of San Francisco will co-present a session on how to leverage existing content sources and communications technologies to add an extra dimension and deeper functionality to content development. They will explain how an effective device management strategy can help facilitate content management across multiple devices and locations as well as provide real-world examples of tools you can use to get your network up and running.

DSE Advisory Board members recently had the opportunity to comment on this timely topic and offered a variety of interesting insights, including the following sampling of responses:

“A lesson that we've learned over the years is the importance of re-purposing content created for other channels. For instance, if we develop content for a web page, or a printed piece for posting in the system, we immediately ask whether it can be re-purposed for digital. Given that the content has already been vetted and approved, all we need to do is reformat it for our digital screen channels,” said Paul Fleuranges, vice president corporate communications at New York City Transit Authority.
