RFP NOTICE: Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals shall be received by the Procurement and Contracts Office, 42210 6th Street West, Lancaster, California, 93534 until 3:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.
RFP DESCRIPTION: The Antelope Valley Transit Authority (AVTA), located in Lancaster, CA, is requesting proposals from experienced and financially capable firms to perform Operation of Fixed Route Transit Services in the Antelope Valley. Selected contractor will provide transit services including fixed-route transit and commuter services. Selected contractor will be encouraged to employ efficiencies in routing.
Multidisciplinary teams are encouraged to address the multitude of services envisioned by AVTA. This RFP is designed to encourage flexibility and innovation and aims to solicit proposals from a broad pool of qualified service providers. Vendors not capable of providing all components requested are encouraged to partner with sub-contractors to propose a complete solution. Firms submitting a proposal must have 5 years of experience with an agency of similar scope of fixed route services and maintenance of fleet for revenue and non-revenue vehicles.
