State Safety Oversight Program

The Ohio DOT, Office of Transit is requesting proposals from qualified individuals or firms to provide State Safety Oversight Program support. As required by 49 CFR Part 674, ODOT is required to provide oversight and monitor safety performance of Ohio's FTA-funded rail transit agencies. The successful firm will be required to perform a variety of technical assistance services through activities determined and identified later by ODOT. Activities may include, but are not limited to: SSO Program Standard and Reference Guide, FTA  Annual Report and Periodic Submissions, Rail Transit System (Cleveland and Cincinnati) Annual Reports and Triennial Audits, ODOT Triennial Audits, Investigations of Accidents and Significant Hazardous Conditions, Risk Based Inspections, Corrective Action Plans (CAP), Public Transportation Agency Safety Plans (PTASP) and System Security Plan (SSP) Updates. This contract will begin on July 1, 2025 and end on June 30, 2027.  

Bids are due May 21, 2025.
